Our Mobile Lab & Diagnostics division delivers professional, APL-standard specimen collection services across Calgary and surrounding areas. We specialize in mobile blood collection in Calgary, physician-ordered lab requisition collection, and at-home bloodwork services for patients who prefer the convenience and comfort of home-based testing rather than visiting a clinic.

All specimens are collected by trained and certified phlebotomists and Follows Alberta Health Services standards of collection, labeling, storage, and transportation protocols. Specimens are securely transported to accredited Specimens processed through Alberta Precision Laboratories for testing and analysis. Test results are released directly to the ordering physician or, when applicable, reviewed by a CPSA-licensed physician.

We provide a comprehensive range of mobile diagnostic collection services, including:

  • Physician-ordered blood tests at home 

  • Self-initiated laboratory testing (where permitted and supported by physician review) 

  • Routine and follow-up bloodwork 

  • Mobile urine specimen collection 

  • Mobile ECG (electrocardiogram) testing 

  • Hormone blood testing at home 

  • Vitamin D testing 

  • Fertility and prenatal bloodwork 

  • Discrete STI / STD specimen collection, including laboratory testing and physician oversight

  • We support immigration and insurance-related diagnostic requirements, including: 

    • Immigration medical bloodwork (mobile collection)

    • Visit Visa, Parent Super, Student Visa, and TFW Visa medical testing at home (Blood Works Only)

    • IRCC-related laboratory specimen collection

    Please note: Immigration medical examinations and final assessments are completed by IRCC-approved panel physicians. Blood Tech Diagnostics’ role is limited to authorized specimen collection and transport, coordinated with licensed medical providers.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR BLOOD WORKS :

    1. BLOOD TEST

    HIV Test 

    • Mandatory for applicants 15 years of age and older

    • Also required for younger applicants if risk factors are identified 

    Syphilis Test (Serology)

    • Mandatory for applicants 15 years of age and older

    NOTE: These blood tests are performed at IRCC-approved or accredited laboratories and results are submitted through the eMedical system. Laboratory requisition is required from an IRCC-approved Physician Panel.

    2. Urine Test (Urinalysis)

    Our DNA test kit, Genetic and Molecular services in Calgary include secure identity verification, professional sample collection, and reliable handling for legal, immigration, or personal testing needs.

  • Blood Tech Diagnostics delivers corporate and insurance medical testing services in Calgary, including employee blood work, diagnostics, and mobile specimen collection. Ideal for insurance providers, employers, and occupational health programs requiring efficient, on-site testing solutions.

    • Standard STI Panel
      A routine screening that tests for the most common sexually transmitted infections. Ideal for regular checkups, new relationships, or peace of mind. Fast, confidential, and reliable results. 

    • Full Spectrum STI Panel
      A comprehensive screening that tests for a wider range of sexually transmitted infections, including less common and asymptomatic conditions. Recommended for higher-risk exposure, symptoms, or complete sexual health assessment.

  • Pre-Employment Medical Testing Panel 

    Common laboratory panels may include and not limited to: 

    • Complete Blood Count (CBC) 

    • Liver function tests 

    • Kidney function tests 

    • Urinalysis 

    • Blood glucose 

    • Lipid profile (role-dependent)
